Nearly two hundred and twenty-five women were rejected for "Sanam Teri Kasam," after which she was selected. Audiences want to see her in the sequel as well. Mawra recently responded to the possibility of returning to "Sanam Teri Kasam 2." Mawra, who played Saru, said, "If it were possible for me to be a part of the sequel, I would definitely like to be, but even if it wasn't possible, I wouldn't mind." Mawra said this in an interview with "Connect Cine."


Mawra Hussain expressed her desire to be a part of "Sanam Teri Kasam 2," but also said she would be happy if someone else played the role. Regarding the film's impressive performance upon its re-release, the actress said that her producers truly deserved the love. The film received twice the love it received during the re-release compared to its original release. The film's stars and producer-director are extremely happy.


Mawra Hussain praised the film's producer, Deepak Mukut, saying that he deserves this success more than anyone else. The actress wished the producer well and expressed hope that the sequel will be even more explosive. The 2016 film was directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru. Re-released on February 7, the film has grossed over ₹30 crore at the box office.


In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, the film's producer, Deepak Mukut, addressed the recent reports regarding the sequel. He said, "The IP of Sanam Teri Kasam belongs to me. Since I am the producer, I have the rights to make a sequel, a prequel, or a remake. In fact, I announced the sequel with Harshvardhan Rane in September 2024. As for the directors (Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru), I haven't discussed it with them. They haven't met or spoken to me about it.
